The aim of the course is to enable you to achieve a level of competence and appreciation for legal research and writing.
This course is aimed at enhancing your use of language – in essence a lawyer’s predominant tool. We will be looking at how you read and write, how to assimilate and disseminate. A lawyer’s thinking is both structured and open-ended, a lawyer’s reading both rigorous and critical and a lawyer’s writing both expansive and precise.
Lawyers are problem solvers, acting as an advisor or an advocate, taking a real world situation and applying the legal framework that surrounds it.
