This course is designed to have the students develop an appreciation of the different genres of Belizean, Caribbean, British and American poems, short stories and novels. Students will be able to deveop an understanding of the different literary devices and elements for appreciating literature. Also they will outline the importance elements of fiction in literary works. Students furthermore, will be able to critic a piece of literature in terms of societal views , morals and values.
