This course is designed to equip student-teachers with the knowledge and understanding of how children learn science and the importance of science in a developing country. It is intended to provide student teachers with experiences that will enable them: to select science content and methods that are appropriate for their students; to use hands-on activities to promote skill development and scientific knowledge; and to design classroom environments and activities that promote positive attitudes towards science. The course will provide student teachers with skills and methodologies to effectively plan, deliver, assess, and evaluate science lessons.
